Step 1: Describe your ideal job in the "My Needs" column. For each criteria insert a key word or phrase which describes its importance to you (i.e., the key phrase for salary might be $55,000 minimum).
Step 2: Weigh each need on a scale of one to ten (1 = least need; 10 = greatest need) by writing a rating in the "weight" column. Total the ratings in the "my needs" column.
Step 3: Rate every factor listed on a scale of one to ten for each job offer by writing your rating in the appropriate column. Then total the ratings. Use this data to compare your offers to your ideal job and, with the assistance of your counselor, you will be able to choose the best offer.
